MURAL gives students a place to design and interact as break-out groups and cohorts in order to collaborate and share their prototype during distance education mandates. Rebecca Komarek, Ph.D. professor at CU Boulder, works with Hailey Temple and Mark Tippin of MURAL to analyze methods to create immersive experiences virtually. Dr. Komarek facilitates building prototypes at Colorado State University-Boulder. Together, she and the MURAL team and volunteer panelists, work through the difficulties (not being in person) of virtual prototype building.
